Teacup Poodle puppies require extra care. They are the same as any other poodle puppy they are just in a much smaller
size! Teacup Poodles don't have much body fat and can get cold easy. You should have a playpen and a little doggy bed
for your Teacup Poodle puppy to sleep in. It would also be a good idea to place a heating pad under your Teacup Poodle puppy's
doggy bed, be careful not to turn the heating pad up to high ( you don't want to burn your puppy ). Your Teacup Poodle
Puppy should not have the run of the house, they are a very tiny puppy and to them your house is a very large area for them
to get lost in. They can get lost, not find their food and water, get hurt, and possibly die as a result!
Because
your Teacup Poodle puppy can not eat much at a time and does not have much body fat, your Teacup Poodle Puppy will burn through
it's energy reserves quickly. Play times should be no longer than 30-45 minuets. Always monitor your Teacup Poodle puppy
during play time and at all times. "DO NOT" let your Teacup Poodle puppy jump off of sofas, beds, chairs, etc...
these precious little puppies are very fragile and their tiny little bones can break very easily. A jump off of something
can fatally injure your Teacup Poodle puppy!!!
Teacup Poodle Puppies are, as with any other small breed puppies
, at risk for
Hypoglycemia we have a whole page dedicated to this risk, please go to this page and read it entirely! If you have a Teacup Poodle
puppy having a tube of Nutri-Cal or Nutri-Stat is an absolute must!!!! This product is great for helping regulate your Teacup
Poodle puppy's sugar. We recommend giving your Teacup Poodle puppy a small portion of this on the end of your finger at
least 2 times a day (morning and night). Your Teacup Poodle puppy will love this and look forward to it (to them it
is a wonderful treat). Your Teacup Poodle puppy should eat a small meal 4 times a day (having a little food down at all times
isn't a bad idea for these tiny little babies since their tummy's are tiny and they need to eat more frequently than
other dogs to sustain themselves) and have fresh water available, this will also help keep your Teacup Poodle puppy's
sugar levels regulated. We recommend feeding
Eagle Pack Small & Medium Breed Puppy or Eagle Pack's
Holistic Select Small & Mini Breed Puppy. We feed Eagle Pack products here at Gilliland's Magnificent Poodles!
Another thing to remember again that
your Teacup Poodle puppy is very tiny and Teacup Poodles are "NOT" suitable for homes with small children, large
dogs, or for people who are gone for long periods of time!!!! Small children and large dogs can hurt or fatally injure a Teacup
Poodle accidentally and if you are someone who is gone from home a lot for long periods of time then you will not be
there for your Teacup Poodle puppy to properly care for him/her and he/she may die as a result. Teacup Poodle Puppies are
very much like human babies and need your constant love, attention, supervision, and care.
